The Nature of Baroque Music

To great extent, Baroque music has romantic qualities:

       It can be highly emotional

It can be very dramatic, and sometimes tragic (dark)

It uses minor keys, dissonance, and chromaticism more than classical music styles.

It often has high levels of ornamentation (trills, etc.)

One thing baroque music shares with classical music, is strict meters; like a clock.
